Mountain Ridge Middle School Band

The Mountain Ridge Middle School Jazz Band is an auditioned group comprised of mainly 7th and 8th graders.  This group will rehearse and perform outside of the normal school day.  Performances include at least 2 jazz festivals in late February and early March, the Winter and Spring concerts and possibly a reward trip in May / June. 

 

The standard instrumentation for this group includes 5 saxophones, 4-5 trombones, 4-5 trumpets and a rhythm section (drum set, piano, bass guitar, guitar). 

 

This is a competitive group and should be reserved for very committed students.

 

Audition dates and practice schedules will be announced.
